Coordinated Attacks in Kabul Targets Election Office, Government Bank

The Taliban used a coordinated attack of a car bomb and gunmen to attack an election office in Kabul.  The suicide bomber detonated a vehicle bomb at the gate of an Independent Election Commission building, followed by several gunman entering the area.  Four people died  during the assault with dozens being trapped inside the building during the four hour standoff.  Those killed included an election worker, a policeman and a civilian.

In a separate incident, three bombers attacked a government-owned Kabul bank in the Kunar province where five people died.
